Pay Per Click Advertising Helps AE Sewing Boost Conversions By 225%

The Brief

AE Sewing Machines are one of the UK’s largest, independent industrial sewing companies, supplying a large range of sewing machines, parts and accessories.

AE Sewing’s aims were to advertise their industry leading brand and high-quality products to overall drive sales and revenue.

To achieve this M4B needed to undertake two key steps. Firstly, we needed to undertake a detailed audit of their Google AdWords account to establish the overall effectiveness of their Pay Per Click marketing and identify any issues that need attention. Following this, we could then devise and input a plan to successfully optimise their campaigns going forward.

Our Approach

Once an in-depth AdWords audit was undertaken, M4B’s Google Analytics and Google AdWords certified consultants delivered a detailed report and laid out next steps to optimise and manage AE Sewing’s PPC accounts in order to achieve the key goals of increasing brand awareness, enquiries and sales.

These included, re-structuring the AdWords campaigns and adding new ones to target key product categories, undertaking in-depth keyword research to review and add to current keywords, setting up negative keyword lists, adding new ads to campaigns using a combination of keywords and compelling ad text and optimising campaigns based on location, device and schedule settings.

In order to measure AdWords generated calls and website transactions, M4B also installed conversion tracking to strategically control where ad spend should be allocated, in order to utilise AE Sewing Machine’s budget to its maximum potential, consequently driving as many website conversions as possible and increasing revenue.

The Results

Since M4B have undertaken the management of AE Sewing’s Google AdWords campaigns, AE Sewing have seen a 225% increase in paid transaction and a 361% increase in conversion rate.* This is in addition to a consistent month on month increase in clicks, transactions, enquiries and revenue while bounce rate, cost per click and cost per conversion have all decreased.
